Cejka Search has been exclusively retained by Mason Health a nationally recognized, top rural hospital, to assist in the recruitment of an innovative leader to serve as Chief Financial Officer.
Headquartered in Shelton, Washington and established in 1968, Mason Health, is a publicly owned health system governed by a Board of Commissioners. Mason Health is comprised of a critical access hospital, a large 60,000 square foot multispecialty clinic, a rural health clinic, 100 physicians in 19 specialties, and provides high quality care to patients through its emergency medicine services, hospitalist program, wound care center, laboratory, diagnostic imaging, pharmacy, rehabilitation, birth center and telehealth services. Mason Health provides exceptional healthcare and is known throughout Washington as one of the highest-rated rural hospital districts in the state. Its full-service clinics are complemented by eight dental clinics, four physical therapy clinics, and numerous ancillary health services to address routine and/or complex needs of the patient populations and communities served.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the overall financial operations of the hospital, including financial planning, analysis, accounting, contracting, capital purchases, and budget processes. The Chief Financial Officer will offer financial expertise to support the executive committee in making strategic operational decisions that will continue to advance the organization, enhance existing services while supporting the development of new specialty services, and position Mason Health as a provider of choice in the community. The Chief Financial Officer will lead an established team of Directors and Supervisors over Finance, Revenue Cycle, Materials, Medical Records, Dietary, Maintenace, and Central Registration.
Mason Health serves patients throughout Mason County. Located 30 minutes from the State Capital of Olympia and 90 miles from Seattle, Shelton boasts a small town lifestyle while enjoying the benefits of large metropolitan cities close by.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a history of success in hospital finance, billing and reimbursement, strategic planning and physician contracts in a rural health care or critical access hospital organization. Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal skills and cultural fit are essential to motivate internal teams. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital setting and a minimum of 7 years in finance and accounting. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required. A master’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field is highly preferred.
