Samaritan Hospital announces an outstanding opportunity for a proven rural healthcare and critical access hospital executive to serve as Chief Executive Officer.
Samaritan Hospital is a 25-bed, county owned, critical access hospital located in Macon, Missouri, about 80 miles north of the state’s capital, Jefferson City. Committed to providing exceptional personalized care, the hospital offers a complete range of services including emergency medicine, surgery, specialty and wellness care. The hospital’s owned clinic, Total Family Health Care Clinic sits adjacent from the hospital and offers comprehensive primary care services in adult and pediatric, preventative care, and treatment of acute and chronic illness as well as telehealth visits.
Reporting to the Samaritan Hospital Board of Trustees, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide the operational leadership and strategic direction while working closely with the executive team and medical staff to continue to provide a high level of quality patient care and service to Macon, Missouri and the surrounding communities throughout Macon County. The CEO will lead operational and financial decisions, through a changing healthcare environment, to strengthen its position as an independent hospital while maintaining its reputation as a provider of choice in the community.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a history of success leading hospital operations, finance and strategic planning in rural health care or critical access hospital organization. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of executive leadership experience in a hospital setting. An advanced degree in business or health care administration is highly preferred.
