Reporting to the Associate Executive Director of Perioperative Services, the Senior Director of Perioperative Services provides leadership to a team of 570 full-time employees, with 23 operating rooms, 3 hybrid rooms, and 7 operating rooms in the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) performing 15,000 surgeries annually. The Senior Director will be responsible for maximizing the operational efficiency, profitability, and growth of Perioperative Services to continue to elevate NSUH as a leader in surgical care. The Senior Director will ensure the full integration of services across the hospital and ASC to achieve the highest levels of clinical quality outcomes, patient satisfaction and value by supporting and enhancing the delivery of quality patient care through service integration, staff and resource management.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a minimum of seven years’ progressive experience in leading and coordinating perioperative services, with proficiency in operations, strategy, and finance. Excellent leadership qualities, communication skills, and the ability to establish strong alignment with physicians and staff is required. A bachelor’s in nursing degree is required, as well as previous or current experience in leading perioperative services in an acute care hospital setting. An advanced degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or service line specialization is highly preferred.
