Cejka Search has been exclusively retained to recruit an innovative leader as the new Chief Operating Officer for Associated Anesthesiologists, PC (AAPC), an independent physician group that provides anesthesia services to the greater Lincoln community.

For more than four decades, AAPC, has been focused on enhancing the patient experience through the highest quality anesthesia care while delivering a superior service to the medical facilities and surgical partners. Located in Lincoln, Nebraska, AAPC has grown to be a premier anesthesia provider of choice with over 70 physicians and CRNA’s serving 9 facilities, providing a comprehensive range of services in general, MAC, and regional anesthesia for operations and in-house coverage for childbirth, post-operative pain relief in the hospital, and techniques for post-operative pain relief for same day surgery procedures. AAPC employs top clinicians that are trained in specialty areas to include Cardiac, Orthopaedic, OB/GYN, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Plastics, Dental, Trauma, Acute Paine and Ophthalmology.

Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer and collaborating closely with the Physician Executive Committee and physician partners, the Chief Operating Officer will be accountable for operationalizing strategies and plans, ensuring the development of high quality, efficient anesthesia services exceed the patients, families, and client expectations. The COO will drive the daily operations while supporting the billing, revenue cycle, compliance, and patient accounting services. The COO will serve as a strategic partner who will maintain a culture of excellence, foster an environment of collegiality, accountability, collaboration, and ensure alignment with organizational operational, financial and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. S/he will demonstrate leadership qualities that are reflective of the organization’s fundamental core values and practice philosophy.

Successful candidates will have at least five years of proven executive leadership experience in an independent or employed medical group setting, will be well-versed in leadership, will possess strong operational abilities and financial acumen, and will be able to effectively work and communicate with a variety of stakeholders including leaders, team members, physicians, outside partners, patients, and families. A bachelor’s degree is required, a master’s degree in health administration, business or finance is highly desirable.
