Bryan Health, a non-profit, locally owned & governed healthcare organization with over 5,000 caregivers, announces an exceptional opportunity for an experienced health care leader to serve as the lead Managed Care Contract Executive of Bryan Health Connect based in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Bryan Health Connect, a physician-led Physician Hospital Organization (PHO), offers a clinically and financially-integrated, high-quality, cost-effective network of providers to insurers and patients. Bryan Health Connect membership’s primary care providers and specialists serve patients across Nebraska and into Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and South Dakota. With an increase in membership since 2019, Bryan Health Connect consists of over 1,400 members today. In 2017, Bryan Health Connect established an Accountable Care Organization whose members are working together towards clinical integration, population health and success in value-based health care delivery.
Reporting to the Bryan Health Connect President, Dr. John Findley, the Director, Managed Care Contracts is a critical leadership role in supporting Bryan Health Connect with existing and future value-based contracts as Bryan Health Connect is poised for continued growth and on the journey to become a Clinically Integrated Network. The Director, Managed Care Contracts will be responsible for developing, executing and sustaining payor strategy and relations for Bryan Health Connect. The Director will introduce proactive and creative ideas relating to negotiations with payors, while supporting the organization’s strategy around structuring, monitoring, and executing new contracts. The Director will be the front-line influencer during payor negotiations and strengthen the relationships with all managed care plans, payors, and providers while partnering with Bryan Health executives to continue their success in a shared savings model. The Director will develop the road map for managed care contracting to position Bryan Health Connect for future expansion and success.
Successful candidates will have at least five years of leadership experience in payor contracting in a hospital-based organization, physician group practice, ACO, or CIN. A demonstrated track record in negotiating value based or ACO agreements, engaging in risk-based contract discussions, and developing processes around contract management, project management, and flowchart designs related to managed care contracts is critical to this role. A bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare management, finance or related field is required. Experience in contracting from the insurance industry is a plus.
