To further advance Nationwide Children’s commitment to building a preeminent fetal care program, the organization is committed to recruiting an accomplished Maternal Fetal Medicine physician to serve in a clinical leadership role to contribute clinically as well programmatically in developing and managing the Maternal Fetal Medicine Program. A newly created position, the Director, Maternal Fetal Medicine Program is a critical leadership role to achieve the organization’s strategic vision to better serve their patients. This program will include the existing Fetal Medicine Clinic and continued partnership with Ohio Fetal Medicine Collaborative, affiliated with OSU School of Medicine, to provide a multidisciplinary practice focused on the management of high-risk pregnancies.
Nationwide Children’s is a full service, acute care, pediatric teaching hospital with 527 licensed beds on-site and the largest neonatal network in the country (276 beds, 146 of which are at off-site facilities). Nationwide Children’s has Level I trauma designation, is an American Burn Association / American College of Surgeons designated Burn Center, and CARF accredited rehabilitation program. Under the umbrella of a unified program, Nationwide Children’s 12 surgical departments and more than 90 pediatric specialty surgeons share a common mission, philosophy and approach to patient care. The department is one of the largest children’s surgical programs in the world with more than 153,000 clinical visits and approximately 32,000 surgical procedures annually. Children’s recently completed a new operating room expansion resulting in a total of 20 operating rooms. The main Campus also houses an on-site ambulatory surgery facility with 4 operating rooms, 3 GI procedure rooms, 2 general procedure rooms and an offsite ambulatory surgery center with 4 operating rooms.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of collegiality and excellence in maternal-fetal medicine clinical service, performance management, program development and institutional collaboration. Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency in OB/GYN with an appropriate subspecialty Board certification and ability to obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license are required.
