Job Description

Cejka Search has been retained by Advocate Aurora Health to recruit an accomplished nurse executive to serve in a newly created position: Vice President, Integrated Care Management. 

Reporting to the System Vice President, Population Health (an MD), the Vice President, Integrated Care Management will lead the strategic vision and priorities for the enterprise Care Management platform and programs that directly align with Advocate Aurora Health’s business imperative to drive outcomes that are consistent with the Triple Aim. This includes the integration of the care management infrastructure at the system level to ensure operations and work processes are efficient, innovative and support a shared structure of care coordination in a way that delivers results relevant to the quality and efficiency target of the organization. In addition, this role is accountable for the oversight and execution of employer-based care management programs as well as clinical documentation improvement across Advocate Aurora Health. This position may reside in Illinois or Wisconsin.

Successful candidates will be accomplished nurse executives with 10 or more years of progressive leadership experience in care management and management of financial risk populations. Demonstrated experience in building and/or leading a care management program for a multi-site health care system, expertise of relevant technical aspects of risk-based contracts and population health and understanding of care management priorities and models for cross continuum performance is required. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, ability to lead large scale change initiatives, and the ability to work in a highly matrixed, management by influence organizational structure are essential. A master’s degree in nursing, business, health care administration or related field is required.
