Cejka Search has been retained by Renown Health, Reno’s only locally-governed, not-for-profit integrated health network and Accountable Care Organization, to recruit a Chief Development Officer (CDO) of Renown Health Foundation.

As the community’s only not-for-profit health system, philanthropic support and partnerships are vital to providing and expanding needed services for the region.
Under the direction of and reporting to a dynamic physician Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the system, the CDO will lead the advancement efforts of the Foundation. Sitting on the CEO’s leadership team, the CDO will play a central role in the success and future contributions of Renown Health as a regionally and nationally recognized care delivery system. The CDO will serve as the chief strategist and expert for designing and implementing a comprehensive, integrated philanthropic and fundraising program to financially expand clinical services and social programs to improve the care and lives of the communities Renown Health serves. The CDO will lead and direct all programs, activities, and staff of the Foundation, including establishing an integrated communication program. Serving as an ambassador of Renown Health, the CDO will cultivate relationships with prospective and existing donors and corporations to align support for the organization.
Ideal candidates will have demonstrated success in high-level major gift fundraising and developing and implementing national fundraising strategies and campaigns. A proven track record in successfully managing a robust major gift portfolio and hands-on leadership experience building complex fundraising programs with increased performance is essential. A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred. The CDO will possess exceptional communication, interpersonal, strategic planning and implementation skills, be knowledgeable about regulatory requirements and align with Renown Health’s mission and values.
