Cejka Search Leaders To Share Expertise On Physician Retention And Healthcare Career Development At Leading Industry Conferences
St. Louis, October 16, 2006 - Cejka Search, a nationally recognized physician and healthcare executive search firm, announced today that its experts will be featured presenters at major healthcare industry conferences this fall, including the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) 2006 Annual Conference and the American College of Physician Executives (ACPE) Fall Institute Milestone Program.
MGMA 2006 Annual Conference
On October 24, 2006, Carol Westfall, president of Cejka Search, and Marc Greenwald, MD, chief medical officer of Fallon Clinic, will present “Physician Retention: Maximize Your Physician Resources Through Higher Retention Rates” at the MGMA 2006 Annual Conference in Las Vegas. This session will provide a national overview of physician turnover, describe best practices for physician retention, and feature the successful case study of Fallon Clinic.
Additionally, Mark Prosperi, vice president, Executive Search Division of Cejka Search, will conduct a workshop, “Effective Resume Writing and Review,” during the MGMA Job Store - Interactive Student Session on October 24; and David Cornett, regional vice president of Cejka Search, will present “Beyond Today: The Path to Effective Clinical Recruiting” to the MGMA Gastroenterology Administrators' Association on October 21.
Cejka Search also will sponsor the Physician Executive of the Year Award, which will be presented on October 24 at the 50th Convocation of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), the standard-setting and certification body of the MGMA. Cejka Search will exhibit at booth #1219.
ACPE Fall Institute Milestone Program
Lois Dister, vice president and practice leader, Executive Search Division of Cejka Search; Dan Kopp, MD, chief medical officer of Northeast Health; and John Rush, MD, chief medical officer of Hanger Orthopedic Group, Inc., will present on the topic of “Pigeonholed Physician Executives,” during the General Session of the ACPE Fall Institute Milestone Program on November 14, 2006, in Tucson, Arizona. The session will review the pathways for physician executives who make multiple successful transitions between distinct healthcare sectors, offering practical techniques for translating skills to other sectors. Ms. Dister will also participate in the recruiter panel discussion at the ACPE Fall Institute.
Additionally, Ms. Westfall will present “Standing Out in a Very Competitive Job Market,” on November 14. The presentation will offer practical advice to physician candidates to differentiate and promote themselves in a crowded pool of job candidates.
