Deedra Hartung is Vice President, Practice Leader in the Executive Search division of Cejka Search, a nationally recognized physician and executive search organization providing services exclusively to the healthcare industry for more than 25 years.
Deedra joined Cejka Search following a successful career as a healthcare executive for a number of leading healthcare institutions. She has worked in large, integrated healthcare systems and academic medical centers.
Drawing from her experience in health system, group practice and academic leadership search, Deedra knows exemplary leadership, is skilled in her interactions and leadership with Boards of Trustees and Search Committees. Her communication skills and intuitiveness, combined with her professionalism and her judgment, bring exceptional skill to her clients. Deedra has developed a national reputation for excellence while representing many of the leading organizations around the country. Her portfolio of successful searches and expertise in health system and academic search is unmatched by anyone in the industry.

Her article on “The New Healthcare Leader” was selected and published in the “Ten Best Articles” of the year by the American Hospital Association. Deedra and William Fulkerson, MD, CEO of Duke University Hospital, were chosen to present “Selecting and Working with Physician Leaders” at the American College of Healthcare Executives Congress. Recently, Group Practice Journal published Deedra’s article, “Creating a Healthy Hospital: The Demand for Physician Executives,” and her insights were featured in the article “The State of the CEO,” published by HealthLeaders magazine.
Deedra earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts from University of Kansas.
