Since Cejka Search began in 1981, our company has mirrored the growth and evolution of our nation's healthcare delivery system. We have helped small rural communities find OB/GYNs who had a sense of mission and were willing to practice alone. We found star specialists to go to internationally-renowned medical centers to start cancer institutes, heart centers, and sports medicine clinics. We placed renowned executives competent in handling the nuances of DRGs, RVUs, and capitation.
We had to become experts, not only in traditional physician search, but also in healthcare executive search (including physician executives), contract managed (outsourcing) search, and broad-based management consulting.
As the market consolidated and integrated, so did we. We learned that the needs of integrating systems in managed care environments were becoming increasingly complex. Effective staffing required us to become competent consultants in compensation, governance, and practice acquisitions, as well as in healthcare recruiting. We continued to survey all of our clients to learn how we could continuously improve the quality of our services. In other words, our clients taught us our business.
